On Friday, May 3, the federal government announced the second wave of recipients receiving funding from the Women Entrepreneurship Strategy, a $2-billion investment that seeks to help double the number of women-led businesses by 2025. The Calgary recipients were announced at an event held at District Ventures. Our very own co-owner of Spragg’s Meat Shop, Bonnie Spragg, is proud to have been selected as one of the women-led businesses to receive $100,000 from the fund.
