It’s convenient, fast and absolutely satisfying! Being a foodie, during Bonnie’s travels, she’s always looking for inspirational new ways to prepare food, and imagine her surprise when she stumbled upon this unique dish – Wurst salad. Any ideas on the star ingredient? You guessed it, deli meat!
Start slicing up that deli meat, and give this great recipe by Daring Gourmet a try:
10 ounces of thinly sliced meat
8 ounces of thinly sliced cheese
6 ounces of pickles
1 medium yellow onion
3 tablespoons of fresh parsley
3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
3 tablespoons of pickle juice
2 tablespoons of sunflower oil
2 teaspoons of mustard
½ teaspoon of sugar
¼ teaspoon of salt
¼ teaspoon of pepper
Combine ingredients 6-12 in a small bowl and whisk well. Place bowl to the side.
In another bowl, thinly slice and toss together ingredients 1-5.
Pour the vinaigrette over the salad and place your masterpiece in the fridge for 1-2 hours before serving to your delighted guests.
Tip: Wurst salad is best served chilled or at room temperature with a piece of French bread on the side.
