Grill Up a Whole Meal – From Salad to Dessert

Going between the oven and the grill to make one meal can be a slow process and incredibly inefficient! So we are challenging you to make the whole thing on the grill – pause for reaction.

Here are a few irresistible meal ideas for every course that will surprise and delight at your next backyard dinner party!

Salad

Adding some charred items to a salad mixes up the flavour profiles and adds a refreshing smokiness to your typical leafy greens. Try grilling up a chicken Caprese salad (chicken, mozzarella, and tomato), roasting a potato salad, or charring some watermelon for a next-level, reinvigorating fruit and veggie mix. Check out some delicious BBQ salad options here.

Appetizers

For appys, we are all about skewers and kabobs! They’re quick, easy to grill up and add some variety to the mix. Our favourite kabob is our limited edition Grillfackeln Skewers, made with pre-seasoned crispy pork belly. Check out some creative skewers that we recommend here!

Another excellent appetizer option is melting a wheel of Brie on the grill – trust us, it will be a huge hit.

Main Course

Of course, you can always stick to the old classics - burgers, hotdogs, and ribs - but we encourage you to try something new and experiment with fresh flavours, so your meal is nothing close to predictable. We recommend grilling squash, seafood or shellfish, veggie packs and more. Check out some bizarre, yet delicious items to throw on this grill here, or some classic recipes here.

Dessert

Grilled dessert is surprising, yet delicious! Adding smokiness to a sweet treat to end off the night can be the cherry on top of a tasty BBQ’d meal. We love varieties of smoked fruit pizza, banana boats (an old standby), skillet cobbler, grilled cake paired with fresh fruit, or simple charred fruit like pineapple, pears, or grapefruit. Here are some creative sweet treats to try on the BBQ!
